| Artist Statement |
My entire childhood was a succession of one art project after another. Painting, drawing, weaving, sculpture not only came easily to me but were my voice in a large family. It was inevitable that I would follow my creative voice to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I studied Textile Design and it is with a paint brush that I worked.
My path after graduation led from one art form to another. In 1995 I picked up a camera and finally it was my soul that spoke. I am painting with light and my photographs are a collaboration between my heart and the world around me. |
